Charlotte County's Economy was ranked #1 out of the 300
metropolitan areas in the U.S. by Money Magazine. This ranking was based on several factors, including a
cost of living 5% lower than the national average, projected

taxation, and there are no state residency time requirements
to receive this homestead exemption. All you are required to
have is a Florida driver's license (if you drive),
automobile registration (if you own a car), a voter
registration card, and a recorded deed on your property.
